The Farnborough Air Show has always facilitated business amongst the aerospace community. FIA 2018 is no different. In fact, it holds more relevance than ever for the industry and the aerospace supply chain. Here’s what the show promises to deliver:

The Farnborough International Airshow: Far Exceeding The Expectations

An Extensive Conference And Seminar Programme

FIA and IATA have together come up with a dedicated Air Cargo Conference Programme. This will be a two-day conference. You get to take a closer look at the future of Air Cargo and the impact of new technologies in this sector. There’s also a roundtable in the offing. FIA has teamed up with Flightglobal for an Airline Chiefs Strategy Roundtable. The participation of several high-profile airline heads makes it worthwhile.

Farnborough Air Show Trade Show Exhibit Company

Last but not least, this year, there’ll be two theaters where you can share and discuss major topics of the day. The topics could get interesting, ranging from space habitation to supersonic travel.

How do you think the aviation industry would look in 2030? Well, won’t it be interesting to find out how the airline heads perceive it? You bet.

A Perfect Mix Of New & Regular Features

Regular FIA features like the Innovation Zone and Space Zone will, of course, be there. But, those looking forward to something new are in for a treat at the trade show. You could witness the examining of technologies. Interested in automation, additive manufacturing, simulation, virtual and augmented reality and digitization? Head to Aerospace 4.0. It is dedicated to the fourth industrial revolution and the digitization of the industry. No wonder it has become a talking point of late.

The Live Product Demo Area now has an “Air Force Command Centre”. Want to see the products from the leading industry players in a real-life scenario setting? Here’s your chance. For the first three days, the area will only be open to invited delegations and guests. But, trade show visitors need not lose heart. They can explore the feature later, i.e. on Thursday and Friday.

The Cargo Village, which was first developed in 2016, will also be attracting a lot of attention. A featured aircraft, a dedicated exhibition hall and a two-day conference. That’s a lot to look forward to, right?

An International Show True To Its Name

It’s a global affair. With 29 national pavilions confirmed, it indeed is. A significant European presence from Germany, France, and Spain further adds to it. So does the largest presence from China, with 25 participating companies. The best part is that a larger number of international exhibitors may be at the show this year. In 2016, they made up for around 71% of the total number of exhibitors. The expectations are higher this year.

A Display That’ll Leave You Asking For More

The Farnborough Airshow 2018 has a packed aircraft programme. And whose aircraft can you expect to see? Antonov, ATR, Bell, Dassault, Embraer, L3 Technologies, Piaggio Aerospace, Pilatus and the like. Did you know that Mitsubishi MRJ will be making its flying display debut at the show? Exciting, right? Wait till we tell you that the US DOD will be bringing an F-16 for the flying programme and a C-17 for static display. That’s what you call excitement!

The new permanent hall, FINN, and these exciting, innovative features – we can’t wait for the show to begin. How about you? Let’s catch up at the Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre, and talk business. We have had successful trysts with aerospace and defense shows and can make you stand out at the next one.

Get ready to witness the very best of the new dimension of motorsport, as a team of two pilots flies Edge 540 race planes. Italian pilot Dario Costa and the UK’s own Ben Murphy will reach speeds of 370kmh while enduring forces of up to 12G.  Intriguing, enough? Here’s the real deal. They’ll navigate a low-level racetrack, marked by 25-meter-high, air-filled pylons. This explains why the audience is all excited to get up close to this legendary motorsport. It’ll be the first time since 2016 that the pilots would showcase the very best of the techniques they use in a race.

The Red Bull Air Race: Here’s What Else You Should Know

The FIA: Here’s A Quick Overview

FIA sees the who’s who of the aerospace and defense industries, but it’s no less popular among the general public. That’s because of the public airshow that everyone can look forward to. The Farnborough International Airshow 2018 won’t be an exception.

  • Around 80,000 people will be at the trade show to see fast-paced acts during the public weekend, i.e. 21 and 22 July
  • Want to see Blades, one of the world’s most exhilarating aerobatic flying display teams, in action? A bespoke, close-formation aerobatic display designed especially for FIA, is awaiting you. The team, founded by ex-Red Arrows pilots, will dominate the sky. Watch out!
  • Ever seen more horsepower than a Formula 1 car in a specially-designed gravity jet suit? Well, that’s what Real life ‘Iron Man’ Richard Browning will use for flying.  He’ll be flying in a miniature Harrier. The Harrier, which last appeared at the show in 2014, is a legend of the skies. Now’s your chance to catch a glimpse.
  • You’d also get to see the F16, one of the world’s most impressive fast jets, thanks to the US Department of Defence.

The tickets to the airshow are available online. The best part is that children under 15 can attend it for free. So you could plan a family trip of sorts around the trade show, so to say.

International Day Of Yoga: Here’s How The World Is Celebrating It

Since its inception in the year 2015, June 21st is celebrated as “The International Day of Yoga” across the globe. Yoga might have originated in India, but it is now widely practiced everywhere, including the US. In fact, yoga enthusiasts all over the world are celebrating the International Yoga Day in their own way.

A host of events were organized in the past week to mark the fourth anniversary of the International Day of Yoga. These events saw the participation of people from all walks of life, who performed different asanas and breathing exercises.

International Yoga Day celebrations begin in US

WASHINGTON/NEW YORK: Hundreds of yoga enthusiasts gathered to flex their body at historic monuments of the US, including the Capitol Hill, kick-starting a host of events planned this week to mark the fourth anniversary of the International Day of Yoga.

A yoga camp was organized by the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, at the Muktinath temple. The temple, which is sacred to both Hindus and Buddhists, busted with activity, as monks and locals practiced yoga, 12,500 feet above sea level.

Celebrations have already begun across the world for the 4th International Yoga Day, which is on June 21. Taking the ancient Indian practice to new heights this year is Nepal, where monks and locals practiced Yoga at the Muktinath temple, 12,500 feet above sea level.

The Australian Parliament witnessed a yoga session for the first time. Aimed at helping the politicians cope up with their stressful and busy social lives, the session, the session was attended by several lawmakers including the former prime minister Tony Abbott.

A yoga session was organised in the Australian Parliament on Monday for the first time with several lawmakers including former prime minister Tony Abbott performing various asanas in the federal legislature. Marking the fourth International Day of Yoga which is on June 21, over 50 people attended the two-hour long event organised by Melbourne-based Vasudeva Kriya Yoga group at Parliament’s community hall in Canberra.

Indonesia is celebrating the International Day of Yoga on a pretty wide scale. “Ten Cities, Ten Days, Bringing Together Twenty Thousand Yoga Lovers: Promoting Health and Happiness through Yoga” is the theme that the Indonesians have chosen for this year’s celebrations. Several events have already been organized throughout the country since 22 April, and they will go on till the 10th of August.

Yoga events are being held all over the country, with the one where PM Modi led an estimated 50, 000 volunteers to mark the fourth anniversary of International Yoga Day, taking the centerstage.

International Yoga Day 2018 Live Updates: Yoga Has Emerged As Biggest Unifying Force, Says PM Modi

New Delhi: PM Modi led an estimated 50, 000 volunteers to mark the fourth anniversary of International Yoga Day. Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu along with several Union Ministers are also to host part of similar events across the country.

We, at XS Worldwide, organized an invigorating yoga session at our India Headquarters, which left our employees asking for more. They could not contain their zeal and fervor, and advocated that such sessions be held at regular intervals. Their sheer enthusiasm has encouraged us to give this some serious thought, and make yoga a regular part of our work lives.

Love Yoga? Wait Till You Find Out People Are Making Money Out Of It!

Yoga may be practiced for mental and physical health and well-being, but there’s more to this ancient practice than meets the eye. Yes, yoga is all about breath control, meditation and specific body postures, but did you know that it is now also a multi-billion industry? The market for yoga is growing and how. Take the U.S. for example, where the practice seems to have gained a cult following throughout the country, so much so that in 2015, the revenue of the yoga industry amounted to 9.09 billion U.S. dollars in the United States, and is expected to hit a whopping 11.56 billion by 2020.

The number of people learning and practicing yoga is on the rise. No wonder then, yoga classes make up the majority of the industry’s revenue. Pilates and yoga accreditation training and merchandise sales also have their fair share of contribution.

Even Part-Time Instructors Are Laughing All The Way To The Bank

If the reports are anything to go by, fitness instructors make anything between $23 and $31 an hour. However, those with a specialized expertise, specifically yoga, seem to have the upper hand. While a group exercise instructor makes $26.79 hourly, a yoga instructor on the other hand, takes home $31.46 for an hour. Do the math. Even personal trainers are far behind at $24.80/hour.

Yoga Is An Integral Part Of The Wellness Travel Industry

Concepts like yoga cruises, yoga & surf, yoga & detox, yoga & diving, yoga & sports, yoga & wine, yoga & meditation and yoga & ayurveda not only underline the importance of yoga, but are also generating millions of dollars in business. With yoga’s popularity growing with each passing day, these concepts aren’t going anywhere, not anytime soon, more so because those who practice and teach yoga claim to have achieved a new-found balance in their lives, and swear by yoga’s role in giving them strength, dexterity, and mental clarity.

Yoga Has A Bright Future. You Can Have One Too

With 34 percent of Americans likely to practice yoga in the next 12 months, for better flexibility, stress relief, and general fitness, yoga is here to stay. Instructors are not only conducting physical classes, but also streaming sessions online so as to reach more people than they ever could physically. More and more schools are making yoga a part of their curricula, since it makes the kids calmer. So, if you are a yoga instructor or planning to become one soon, you are in for a treat.

We at XS Worldwide, may not see yoga as a business opportunity, but we do believe that yoga should be a regular part of our lives. It is with this belief that on the 21st of June, we’ll be organizing a de-stressing  yoga session at our India Headquarters, in the presence of an experienced instructor. Hopefully, this International Yoga Day will mark the beginning of a new journey for our employees, with a much better work-life balance.
